Office One, City Place
Main contractor Seddon appointed Floorform NW to carry out RC works on its prestigious City Place contract win in Chester.
The works include foundations, basement slab, basement walls, first floor suspended slab and 6 storey RC core structure.
Leada Acrow were asked to provide expert temporary works solutions and equipment for the 6 storey RC core structure and first floor suspended slab on a quick turnaround to meet the clients tight program start date.
Leada Acrow proposed the new WTS wall forming system comprising mainly of steel waler sections and H20 timber beam components combined with KLK climbing platforms to provide safe and efficient 6 day pour cycles on the RC core structure. Later in the project Floorform opted for the MevaDec handset panel falsework system to complete the first floor suspended RC slab.
A fast turnaround of temporary design drawings and phased equipment deliveries for vital elements of the scheme coupled with technical assistance throughout the project both on and off site satisfied the requirements of both Floorform and Seddon Construction. The WTS formwork and MevaDec falsework systems used proved both a cost and time saving for the client.

“The WTS core system enabled the rapid pour cycle required to maintain the tight program set out by the client. Really impressed with the speed of which we were able to erect the MevaDec falsework considering our operatives had never used this particular system before and will certainly be using both systems in future.”
Tony Brien, Floorform NW
