The MevaDec system played a key role in the delivery of the project for the client. The 1600 x 800 MevaDec panels were easy to handle and erect on site.Marcin Kruth
The Eye is a stunning three bedroom, single storey private residence cut into the cliffs of the picturesque Devon coastline. Designed by Alan Phillips Architects, with the structural engineering work carried out by Mitchenson Macken, the Eye is such an impressive structure that it is appearing on Kevin McCloud’s Channel 4 series Grand Designs which features prestigious architectural homebuilding projects.
As the property was set into the cliffs, the site location posed its challenges. Access was limited and the scheduling of deliveries was paramount to the success of the project.
A range of Leada Acrow formwork and falsework systems were specified for the temporary works requirements for this project. Our Technical Engineers devised a series of sophisticated plans to ensure that the products could fulfil the demanding structural and access requirements. Our Mammut wall formwork system, EcoAs shuttering panels, MevaDec slab formwork system and Co-Planar shoring were all used during the construction phase.
The logistics of this project were critical and the Leada Acrow Service Centres at Tavistock and Colnbrook ensured timely deliveries of the various falsework and formwork systems, and provided an excellent technical back-up service. Over 100 MevaDec panels were supplied to the site during the project.Download as PDF
