New Director Appointment for Leada Acrow

Leading formwork, falsework and groundwork hire company Leada Acrow has appointed a new Director to head up the business. Barry Furlong, who has an impressive track record spanning 30 years in the formwork and scaffolding industry, has joined the company and will be responsible for the strategic development of Leada Acrow.

Barry has recently moved back to the UK after living and working in the Middle East for over 20 years. His most recent position was in Oman, where he worked as General Manager for RMD Kwikform, the $300 million division of the Interserve Group of companies and a leading player in the supply of formwork and scaffolding to the construction industry.

Prior to that, Barry worked for Harsco Infrastructure for 20 years, a $1 billion division of the US based Harsco Corporation which is a world leader in access services. Barry’s most recent position at Harsco Infrastructure was Director of the United Arab Emirates business, in which he was involved in many prestigious projects including Dubai Airport Terminal 3, Emirates Towers and Yas Marina Mall.

In his new role as Director of Leada Acrow, Barry will be responsible for the Leada Acrow operational, sales and technical teams which primarily serve the building and civil engineering markets. He will also play a key role in identifying and developing new market areas. Leada Acrow forms part of A-Plant’s Specialist Products Division.
